Terms & Conditions – Imax Adventures

Welcome to Imax Adventures. By booking a trip, trek, or expedition with us, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully.

1. General Terms

• Imax Adventures curates expert-designed itineraries, but unforeseen situations such as weather changes, natural calamities, strikes, or transport disruptions may require modifications. Any such changes may incur additional costs, to be borne by the customer.

• We recommend keeping at least one buffer day after the trip to accommodate unforeseen delays or to enjoy additional sightseeing.

• Pickup points are fixed and centralized. Delayed participants must reach the base camp at their own cost. No special arrangements will be made for late arrivals.

• Bookings are non-cancellable and non-refundable under any circumstances.

2. Cancellation & Refund Policy

• The advance amount is strictly non-refundable.

• Cancellations made 21 to 45 days before the trip will receive a 20% refund (excluding advance).

• No refund is applicable for:

  • Cancellations made within 20 days of departure.

  • Medical rejections during trek by local doctors.

• Replacements (another person taking your place) are allowed up to 20 days before the trek at no additional cost, provided complete documentation is submitted.

• Refunds, if applicable, will be processed within 15 working days from the date of cancellation.

• We are not responsible for trip disruptions caused by weather, local strikes, government restrictions, or natural disasters. In such cases, no refunds or compensations will be made.

3. Medical & Insurance

• We do not provide travel or accident insurance. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure they are adequately insured.

• Insurance must explicitly cover adventure activities such as trekking and mountaineering at high altitudes.

• Submission of a valid medical certificate disclosing physical or mental conditions is mandatory. Failing to do so may lead to disqualification without any refund.

4. Accommodation & Facilities

• Accommodation will be provided on a sharing basis in tents, guest houses, or hotels unless single occupancy is requested (subject to extra charge).

• Facilities are basic but clean. Trekkers must carry personal toiletries.

• No refunds will be given for unused services, including meals, accommodations, transport, or sightseeing mentioned in the itinerary.

5. Assumption of Risk

• By booking, you acknowledge the inherent risks involved in outdoor and adventure activities.

• I/We declare that participation in any trip, trek, or activity is voluntary, and I/We accept full responsibility for personal health and safety.

• Imax Adventures will not be held liable for any loss, injury, accident, illness, or death that may occur during the trip.

6. Code of Conduct

• Participants are expected to behave respectfully with fellow travellers and guides.

• Any misbehaviour, intoxication, or violation of local laws will result in immediate disqualification from the trip without refund.

7. Force Majeure

• Imax Adventures reserves the right to cancel or modify any trip due to reasons beyond our control (such as pandemics, landslides, weather changes, government policies, etc.). In such cases, no refunds or reimbursements will be entertained.
